What a seat includes
A seat is a person, not a device — the same person at their desk, on their computer and on their mobile.
- A local phone number — 813, 727, or any Florida area code, with 911 address registration included per number.
- 3,000 calling minutes, pooled across the whole team.
- 250 text messages, also pooled. Texts people send you are free and unlimited.
- A desk phone we ship pre-configured, or the softphone in your browser, on your computer and on your mobile. Or both.
- Voicemail, delivered to your email.
- Call flows: menus, hours, ring groups, hold music, after-hours routing.
- A shared inbox, so a customer’s question is a ticket the whole team can see rather than mail sitting in one person’s account.
- A CRM: contacts, companies and a pipeline, appointments and booking, and the caller’s record on screen when the phone rings.
- Call recording, on the rules you set — every call, some numbers, or none.
- A human in your own time zone when you need one, not a ticket queue.

Add the AI receptionist
Optional. It answers from your own hours, services and FAQs, books an appointment or takes a real message, and hands off the calls only your people can handle. Each tier has its own pool of AI minutes, separate from your calling minutes.
Starter
$49a month
200 AI minutes included, then 45¢ a minute.
Growth
$149a month
400 AI minutes included, then 40¢ a minute.
Pro
$349a month
1,000 AI minutes included, then 35¢ a minute.
Past your pool
Minutes and texts are pooled across everyone, so one person’s heavy month is usually absorbed by the rest. If the whole pool runs out, nothing stops working.
| Calling past your pooled minutes | 3¢ a minute |
|---|---|
| Texts you send past your pooled messages | 2¢ a message |
| International calls, one flat rate anywhere | 15¢ a minute |
| Each phone number beyond one per seat | $1 a month |
Unlike the seat price, these are rates plus applicable tax. Texts people send you are always free.
Texting registration
US carriers require any business that texts from a normal ten-digit number to register the business and the kind of messages it sends. Every provider has to collect it. We fill in the paperwork for you.
It runs $20 one time and $2 a month for most small businesses, which is carrier cost plus a small fee. Higher-volume senders pay $10.50 a month instead.
None of it applies until you decide to send a text. Phone service works without it.
The number you actually pay
Every national provider advertises a price before Florida's communications services tax and before their own fee lines. Ours is the same number in both places.
Ooma Office Pro Plus
Advertised at $29.95. Florida tax and the 911 fee in Tampa take it to at least this, before two fee lines nobody publishes.
$34.38at least
Hey Quad, per seat
The bill. Florida tax and every fee line already inside it.
$30all in
Their advertised price was read at their own pricing page on September 8, 2026. The tax and the 911 fee added to it are statutory and published per jurisdiction, so the total is a floor, not an estimate.
Questions people actually ask
- Is $30 really the whole price?
- For the phone service, yes. Florida communications services tax is already inside it, and that is the number on your card. Four things can be added, all of them listed on this page: an AI receptionist tier if you want one, calling or texting past your pooled allowance, phone numbers beyond one per seat, and the carrier registration fees if you send texts.
- What counts as a seat?
- A person with a phone, not a device. One seat covers someone at their desk, on their computer and on their mobile at the same time. A shared line, a front-desk phone nobody owns, or an auto-attendant is not a seat.
- Why does the tax matter so much?
- Florida charges a communications services tax on phone service that most states do not, and combined state and local rates run 7.7% to 15.1% depending on the address. Every national provider advertises a price before that tax, then adds it with their own fee lines at checkout.
- What happens if we go over the minutes or texts?
- Nothing stops working. Minutes and texts are pooled across the team, so one person’s heavy month is usually absorbed by everyone else. Past the pool you are billed at the listed rate plus applicable tax, and the running total is in your account any day of the month.
- Do I have to sign a contract?
- No. Month to month, cancel whenever. The desk phones are ours — if you cancel, we send a prepaid box and you put them in it.
- Do you serve businesses outside Florida?
- Not yet. Selling phone service in a state means registering to collect that state’s communications tax, and we would rather do one state properly than five badly. Tell us where you are and we will let you know when we open your state.
These are the live platform rates, last updated July 10, 2026. The seat price includes tax; usage past your pool is billed at the listed rate plus applicable tax.
